UMYF

Mission Trip 2007 192 United Methodist Youth Fellowship (UMYF) is a ministry at St. Mark's United Methodist Church that provides a vital and dynamic way for teens, in grades 7 - 12, to grow in their Christian discipleship. While there are many exciting events that youth can participate in, our main emphasis is on building meaningful relationships with one another and with God. We do this through small groups, worship, and discipleship.

UMYF meets every Sunday from 5:00 - 7:30 p.m. during the school year and at various times during the summer.

We also make our programming fun and inviting, so youth will not only want to come, but will want to bring their friends as well. St. Mark's UMC offers youth a wide range of classes and opportunities for growth and socialization. Whether the activity is the Reel to Real Bible study, a retreat at a United Methodist camp, a mission work project, or a Sunday evening UMYF program, the youth are constantly challenged to grow within the body of Christ. Activities are designed to provide Christian fellowship as well as learning experiences. We have many special programs, events and trips for youth throughout the year planned by trained adult leaders and youth representatives.

About St. Mark’s UMYF

Working with youth from the 7th grade through college, our Student Ministries offers one of the most exciting and dynamic programs in the Murfreesboro area, seeking to expose young people to the gospel of Jesus Christ so that their lives may be renewed. You’ll find us in the Youth Center each week.

  • SME CLASSES

Sunday Morning Experience Classes is our special teaching time to see how the Bible applies to everyday life. 9:45-10:45 each Sunday. 7/8, 9/10, 11/12 and College classes

  • MAIN EVENT

Every Sunday night from 5-7:30 students from every High School and Middle School in the area gather for food, fun, friends and worship with Jesus in mind-check out monthly calendar for special events and/or time change.

  • D GROUPS

Designed for youth to join together for an hour of prayer, praise and Bible study. Meets each Wednesday from 6:30-7:30 in the Youth Center.

  • SONlight Youth Choir

If you enjoy singing or making a joyful “noise” to the Lord, then this choir is for YOU-each Sunday from 4:00-4:45

  • MISSIONS

Our Student Ministry is committed to reaching out to our community and world through missions. Throughout the year we are involved in both local & long term mission work and each summer we take a 10-day mission trip to different parts of the country.

Fall & Winter retreats, ski trips, whitewater rafting, caving, bike hikes, small groups, discipleship groups, you name it-we have it-come and join us—St. Mark’s is the place to BE!!!
